Practice areas

I have been in practice for 25 years and have substantial business, estate planning, and litigation experience.

I grew up in Minnesota. During my college years I worked on the family farm, where we grew vegetables.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1984 with a Bachelors of Arts in English (also Phi Beta Kappa).

I attended law school at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. I obtained my J.D. degree in 1989, and am a member of the Order of the Coif academic honor society.

I settled in Fresno in 1989, where I have maintained my practice.

When CDs were the rage, I reviewed a lot of music for a local newspaper. My old website is still at . You had to be there -- I'd receive 15 or more CDs every week. Now, I listen to lots of live music and other ROIOs.

My son is attending law school at UC Irvine, and my daughter is a computer science major at UCSB. In my spare time I enjoy woodworking/cabinet making, trap shooting, and music.

Financial issue versus Legal issue
I’m addition to being very kind, caring and understanding, Randolf is very knowledgeable about real estate law and knows how get to the bottom of the situation and give great legal advice. He was kind enough to tell me as a friend that mine was not a legal situation but a financial one. What else can I say, except he is helpful and he knows what he is talking about. This was only a consultation, but If his services had actually been required, I wouldn’t have hesitated to hire him.

My Legal Advisor
15 or so years ago when I was getting mentally prepared to take the leap from being an employee to becoming an employer, I read several books on the subject and one of the important things I learnt was to surround myself with advisors who would cover all the areas where I lack the skills and experience. Randy was recommended to me, and he helped me through the due diligence in the attempted purchase of an established fire and water damage restoration business. Since then he advised my wife and I when we were becoming franchisees, doing all the business filings and again more recently when I started a consulting business and was considering having a relative who lives abroad joining me as a partner to start another division.
