Work History.       Current:   Attorney / Shareholder with Gilmore, Wood, et al.; sole practitioner from 1998 to 2006. Prior: Partner, Wild, Carter & Tipton, l980 to July 1998;  Attorney,  Fresno County Legal Services Office, l974 - 1980; Clerk, Lawyers Committee on Civil Rights under the Law  l974.

Experience.      Engaged in transactional and civil litigation (both plaintiff and defendant) in the areas of real estate (particularly commercial and residential landlord/tenant matters), construction and business related disputes.   Landlord tenant experience includes handling of unlawful detainers and complaints for rent in both residential and commercial settings and includes the negotiation of leases and litigation of commercial matters.  Landlord experience also includes bankruptcy landlord tenant matters including obtaining relief from stay orders.    

             Currently is called to sit as a judge pro tem in the local superior court handling settlement conferences; have previously acted as arbitrator for the superior court’s mandatory arbitration program.   Additionally, has mediated cases privately for attorneys in the valley.

Publications and Teaching.      Original co-author of the  CALIFORNIA RENTAL HOUSING REFERENCE BOOK,  published by the California Apartment Association;   past lecturer California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB -landlord tenant law).  In addition to the publication of articles on landlord tenant matters I am an approved lecturer for the California Apartment Association in the area of property management rules procedures and law and in the area of fair housing law. 

Community and Professional Affiliations.     I am a Proud Member of and was President of East Fresno Rotary (2002 – 2003);    Commissioner, Fresno City Housing Authority (Vice Chairperson);   past president of the Fresno Rental Housing Association, current Chair of the California Apartment Association Legal Fund Committee; Past board member of the Make a Wish Foundation (Fresno).  I am a member of the Better Business Bureau and local counsel for the BBB.  Past president of Temple Beth Israel in Fresno, California. Previously performed as a musician with the Fresno Philharmonic (string bass).
