BIO

Ms. Neal’s practice focuses on business and employment litigation. Her business litigation practice includes disputes involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, debt collection, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, partnership dissolution, indemnity, unfair competition, construction defect and insurance coverage and bad faith. Ms. Neal has significant experience representing employers in wage and hour, discrimination and wrongful termination matters, and in providing employers with preventative advice and consultation on employment and labor law concerns. In addition, Ms. Neal has a background in environmental law, water law and land use. During law school, Ms. Neal served as a judicial extern for Judge Consuelo Callahan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS
Represents individuals and businesses in contract disputes and partnership dissolution proceedings.
Represents employers before the DFEH, EEOC and DLSE, as well as in state and federal court, and has settled numerous employee demands and claims for pennies on the dollar.
Represents creditors in state and federal courts, including the United States Bankruptcy Court, and assists in obtaining appointment of receivers, as well as in negotiating and contesting proposed plans under Chapters 11, 12 and 13.
Represents businesses, including homebuilders, in the defense and prosecution of design and construction defect claims.
Represents clients in settlement negotiations and mediation.
Represents clients in appellate proceedings.
Assists clients in tendering claims to insurers and securing defense and indemnity coverage.

Ms. Neal is a member of the Fresno County Bar Association, Sacramento County Bar Association, California Bar Association and Federal Bar Association.
Ms. Neal was selected to the Northern California “Rising Stars” list in 2018 by Super Lawyers magazine.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Ms. Neal actively volunteers for Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento, and has previously volunteered with Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno.
