John Joseph Mcgregor

Mr. John McGregor has practiced for over 30 years with an emphasis on taxation and business transactions. He is certified as a specialist in Taxation Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He represents taxpayers in civil tax controversies before all levels of the Internal Revenue Service and in federal courts. He also represents taxpayers in California income, property and sales and use tax disputes. He served as a member of the Fresno County Assessment Appeals Board in 1993-98 and as its chair in 1997-98.

He has also published articles in Tax Notes and The University of Southern California Tax Institute. He served as Editor of The California Tax Lawyer and of The Fresno Bar Bulletin. He has lectured at the University of Southern California Tax Institute, at Annual Meetings of the California Tax Bars, at State Bar of California Section Education Institutes, and California CPA Society Farmer’s Tax and Accounting Conferences. He has also lectured at San Joaquin College of Law, California State University, Fresno and Fresno City College.
