Charlotte Michelle Konczal

Charlotte is a senior associate in the Fresno office and also works out of the Bakersfield Office. Charlotte handles civil litigation in State and Federal Courts, specializing in defending claims of professional negligence, product liability, personal injury (including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, intentional torts), wrongful death, employment discrimination and harassment. Charlotte also has experience in municipal law, including civil prosecution and enforcement of municipal ordinances, state regulations and federal regulations, with a particular emphasis on building standard issues.

She has extensive experience in defending Developers, General Contractors, and Subcontractors in construction defect cases and comprehensive experience in both residential and commercial landlord-tenant law.

Prior to joining Ericksen Arbuthnot, she was a Deputy City Attorney for the City of Fresno, in-house counsel for a large insurance carrier and an associate attorney for an insurance defense firm.

She has successfully argued and won a significant number of administrative trials and injunctive hearings before both Judges and Administrative Hearing Officers. Charlotte successfully defended an excess insurance carrier in a personal injury and wrongful death case entitled Calderon, et al. vs. Velocity Express Intermountain, Inc., et al, Fresno County Superior Court Case No. 02 CE CG 02924.

She is a member of the California State Bar Association, the Fresno County Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Association of Defense Counsel.

Charlotte is a native of the San Joaquin Valley, having lived in Fresno for the last 20 years. In addition to practicing law, she is the Vice Chair of the City of Fresno Historic Preservation Commission.
