I had a legal issue in the past. My public defense attorney at the time suggested we accept a felony and hope to plea down.

Instead, I got in touch with Mr. Oberto. I have an entirely clean record thanks to him. Could not be more appreciative.

Prior to hiring Mr Oberto, I worked with another well-respected attorney who was highly recommended. After not getting the quality of legal work I had hoped for, I called Mr Oberto. It was immediately evident he had an excellent fund of knowledge. He was professional, worked hard, and was compassionate in helping me. Normally I find details missed by other attorneys when working with them, but this was not the case when working with Mr Oberto.

Richard is proficient in his field and has clearly had exceptional experience prior to starting his own firm. It is evident in how he communicates and helps you understand the legal issues involved in your case and how to address them. He is an honest and passionate advocate.

RICHARD OBERTO IS ONE OF THE FRSNO CO. PUBLIC DEFENDERS ASSIGNED TO HANDLE MDO CASES. UNDER PC.2960 ECT. MY PICTICULAR CASE HAS BEEN PENDING FOR OVER SIX YEARS WITH NO RESILUTION FROM THE COURT. I HAVE REPEATIDLY IMFORMED HIM OF RELIVENT CASE LAW THAT CLEARLY SHOWS I HAVE BEEN ILLEGALLY DETAINED AT ATASCADERO HOSPITAL BEYOND THE EXPERATION OF PRIOR COMMITTMENT ( MAR.17-2006 ) OBERTO HAS BEEN MY ATTOURNY OF RECORD FOR TWO YEARS NOW HE HAS FAILED TO CREATE ALTURNITIVE APPEARANCE ACCOMIDATIONS UNDER ADA.ACT . FOR ME TO APPEAR IN COURT IN PERSON. HE HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE MINUTE ORDERS THAT I'VE REQUESTED THREE TIMES IN WRITING AND DURRING PHONE CONVERSATIONS . HE HAS REFUSED TO PRESENT OR ARGUE MOTIONS THAT I MYSELF HAVE FILED INCLUDING FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FROM ILLEAGAL CONFINMENT PRESUANT TO, PEOPLE V. COBB (2010) HE HAS FIKED MOTIONS WITHOUT CONSULTING ME FIRST WHICH I FIKED OBJECTIONS ON TO THE COURT. THEN WHEN THE COURT DENIED HIS MOTION HE FILED AN APPEAL ON IT EVEN THOUGH I SPACIFICALLY INSTRUCTED HIM NOT TO. I CAN NOT COMMENT ON HIS PREFORMANCE AS A CRIMINAL DEFENCE ATTORNEY HOWEVER I DO NOT RECOMEND HIM FOR MDO CASES. THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR AND OF WRONGFULLY WITHHELD TREBASE OVER THE PHONE HIS WORDS MY TYPING.

Richard Mehdi Oberto’s response: “I believe this client's criticism is exceptionally undeserved. Although the client had been represented by other attorneys, I was the first to prepare his case for trial and present it to a jury. I recall that the judge at one point praised my effort. A documentary film group followed the trial. It appeared that the group videotaped my performance, as well as other trial proceedings. I am confident that the video, if presented without any distortion, would do substantial credit to me. I believe I was passionate, articulate, and well-prepared. The trial resulted in a hung jury. The client represented himself in his re-trial. I understand that the jury returned a unanimous verdict against him. I wish him all the best in his appeal.”
