She provided plenty of wrong information and misled me about the chances for winning my case, then gleefully accepted payment for the consultation. Did nothing, does nothing. Avoid. Arguing your own case regardless of yo...ur personal legal competency is a far better option than hiring her.

Hired Patricia Long, AKA Patricia Brown to handle my divorce. The divorce had been started by my ex-wifes attorney about a year before, so much of the preliminary work had been done up to and including a temporary settlement agreement. The ex dropped her lawyer and let the case stagnate. I paid my... retainer and turned the case over to Ms. Brown (Ms. Long). She filed the papers making her the Attorney of record with the court. In 8 months, that was the only document to come out of her office. After several calls to her office, emails to her, etc. I heard nothing from her, with the exception of one call from her asking for takeout specials. I'm not making this up, she only called me when she confused me with a Chinese restaurant on her speed dial. I did get 4 emails from her over the months telling me that she had a large document 'almost done' and I would get it within a week for my approval before submitting it to the court. Well, the document never came, nor did ANYTHING from her office. After several warnings that I would be forced to terminate her employment as my attorney if she didn't get any progress done on my case, I finally did. I hired another attorney and within a month solid progress was finally done in my case.
