Biography
Prior to founding Law Offices of Sophie C. Bidet, I practiced family law at a preeminent firm in Los Angeles, Trope and Trope.
In 2013, I moved to the Eastern Sierra and founded my law practice. I am an independently contracted public defender for Inyo County and have represented thousands of individuals facing criminal charges.
I am also often appointed as minor's counsel in family law child custody and visitation matters.
If you are in need of a criminal defense attorney, I offer zealous, empathetic and honest representation.
My practice is also devoted to family law mediation and family law consulting. Throughout my 11 year career, I have come to realize that there is an alternative to litigious and costly court hearings. I offer mediation services to help parties cut through the emotional aspect of divorce proceedings and assist parties to reach a mutually agreeable disposition.
I also offer family law consulting services for parties who wish to obtain legal guidance but do not want to incur attorneys' fees in connection with having an attorney of record. The consulting service includes legal guidance, strategy discussions and review/assistance of documents.

Replied last March 03, 2022I have emailed you so we can discuss this issue in a private setting as I cannot ethically disclose the facts of your case given the attorney/client privilege. You are correct that there was a lack of communication. That being said, I rectified the situation in a timely manner, you were made whole and got a favorable result that only a court can issue, not the DMV. This was a traffic infraction provided to me through a third party company, which is a relationship we are reconsidering given the glitches that we encountered. I appreciate your frankness and experience, but trust that you can appreciate that once we ascertained the breakdown, there were absolutely no negative consequences whatsoever with the exception of your frustration.
