I hired Joseph (Joe) for a consultation regarding issues I was having with a landlord at the time. In addition to neglecting numerous serious repairs while I lived in the apartment, they also tried to withhold all of my security deposit ($4,000). Having never met with a lawyer before, I w...as unsure about what to expect. Joe was clearly very professional and knowledgeable, but was still friendly and put me at ease. He took a look at my rental contract, and found a move-in damage report that I had completely forgotten about. He "coached" me in how I should approach the landlord, and what I should (and should not) say to them. After meeting with Joe, I was able to approach the landlord with a better understanding of my rights as a renter. Additionally, the mention that I was meeting with an attorney, even if only for a consult, was helpful in convincing the landlord I was serious. Eventually I was able to get nearly all of my deposit returned to me. Without the assistance and information from Joe, I highly doubt that I would have had much (or any) of my deposit returned to me. Cannot recommend Joe highly enough, if I ever have any other legal issues I will definitely be returning. Thanks again Joe!
