You should be aware of a couple things when considering hiring Ms Pinasco, or when realizing your ex has hired Ms Pinasco: 1.) Debra Pinasco has utilized the "Silver Bullet Method" in kicking off divorce. If you are unaware what this is, Google it, read about it, assume the worst, hire the most... ruthless divorce attorney you can find (eg, Ed Somogyi in SLO or maybe a beast of an attorney in LA), and demand that your attorney fight back in court fast and hard. Do not waste any time thinking maybe your ex is being temporarily hot-headed, delusional, and will come to her senses and prioritize your children over her wallet. The "Silver Bullet Method" is a high-conflict divorce strategy involving false allegations of abuse to gain immediate, unilateral advantages, such as emergency protective orders or immediate full child custody that can often be impossible to overcome -- particularly if Ms Pinasco coaches your ex into subsequent false allegations (eg, "stalking" your ex) during the divorce process, which I believe you should assume she will based on my experience. The Silver Bullet Method exploits court protocols meant to protect victims to instead gain unintended and unfair advantages harming the children and the other parent. Hire the most ruthless cutthroat attorney you can find and fight back hard and fast to keep attorneys like this out of family court. 2.) Ms Pinasco's paralegal is a former attorney from Cincinnati, Ohio who moved to the central coast of California after dishonorably losing his attorney's license in Ohio, per widely available court documents from Ohio Supreme Court. I don't want to shed light into that on here more than necessary to help other parents make better informed decisions when assessing the family law attorneys available for hire in SLO County. Please read Ohio Supreme Court's documents by searching 'Michael Elliott Finucane divorce attorney and misconduct per Ohio Supreme Court' for more information on Debra Pinasco's paralegal who was formerly an attorney. Specifically, Ohio Supreme Court states that "misconduct that resulted in this acceptance of respondent's [Michael Elliott Finucane] resignation [from the Ohio State Bar Association] with discipline pending". Ms Pinasco is a smart lady. She hired a dishonored former attorney to be her paralegal. ___ Please note: This law firm aggressively manages its Yelp page. There were negative reviews on here a year ago that are no longer posted. I don't know why, but can reasonably speculate on what is happening. I am not posting this to vent or complain. I am posting this because I love my children, identify as a dad first and foremost (I was a stay-at-home dad for 8 years), and genuinely care about our community. I don’t want anyone else’s children to suffer this much and be exploited for financial gain like this.
