Susan Elizabeth Lustig

Hi, I'm Susan Lustig.

I’ve been a licensed attorney in California for over 28 years, and after working in international justice reform and legal training for more than a decade, I’ve found a calling in family law. I opened my own practice in 2021, and I now focus on helping individuals and families through divorce, custody disputes, and other family law challenges.

I know these situations are often the most difficult moments in someone’s life. My job is to be a steady hand, to explain what’s happening in plain language, and to help you make smart, informed decisions that protect your future. I bring not just legal knowledge, but empathy, strategy, and a calm, clear presence to every case.

Before focusing on family law, I worked throughout Mexico and Africa, designing and leading legal training programs in Spanish for prosecutors and justice professionals. That international work taught me the power of communication, preparation, and clarity—skills I bring into the courtroom and to every client relationship.

Outside of work, I volunteer as a judge and scorer for mock trial competitions and serve as a Fee Dispute Arbitrator for the State Bar. I also spent many years working with the GenSpan Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to connecting seniors and youth through learning and mentorship.
