Highly recommended

Nick Azemika has been my one and only family law attorney; but I can confidently say that without him, my divorce and custody battle would have been MUCH more stressful. I think many attorneys over promise and under deliver, while Nick gives a conservative assessment of the situation, then the ac...tual outcome ends up being better than projected. That was my experience with him anyway. Nick has been working in his field a long time and is very competitive. He simply hates losing. Tell him what your priorities are and let him do his work. He’ll listen to your ideas and will jump on anything good; but if he tells you something isn’t a good plan or good idea, it’s probably not. Trust that he knows what can work, what won’t work and what’s a waste of your time and money. Speaking of money, he bills fairly. You’ll know what his rates are for all his work right up front. You shouldn’t be surprised when you get your monthly bill. He doesn’t nickel and dime you and he doesn’t charge for fri

Can't Handle A

My experience with Nicholas Azemika was horrible. I personally met with him for my consultation and he shared stories of success in family law. I had a child custody matter that needed to be resolved. It was not complicated, but my child's mother was litigious. I felt a bit confident because op...posing counsel was not exclusively a family law attorney, he was a one-man law firm that did a little bit of everything in regards areas of specialty. During the court hearing, the opposing counsel (attorney) easily outmaneuver Nicolas' oral arguments in front of the judge. It was like Azemika is a family law attorney in general, but doesn't have the ability to handle above-average skilled attorneys that push back against them. They didn't even object when the other attorney made absurd claims. ***I literally ended up with significantly less custody as a result of Nicholas Azemika's failures. After burning through my money throughout the months, he would not take phone calls unless payments were made in full. I was a college student at the time and needed to make payments after a certain point, but they refused this option. After not being able to pay for an full retainer fee again (they wouldn't accept payments, he filed a motion with the court to drop me as a client. I absolutely regret using him to represent me. I eventually got a different attorney who immediately got me full custody (which is unusual for a man to get) and eventually a court order that allowed me to move out of the county with my child.

Mr. Kenny, Our office represented you in 2000, 25 years ago. We still remember your case. Our office obtained the custody of your child for you. After we obtained custody for you, your ex filed a motion for reconsideration or new trial. At that time, you owed us a substantial amount of money for work that we had already done on your behalf. You were not making payments on your account. Therefore, we asked you to pay your outstanding bill, if you wanted us to continue to represent you. You did not. Instead, you hired another attorney who prevailed on the motion for reconsideration, which is very easy to do. But, we are the ones who obtained the underlying custody order for you. Honestly, we can't believe that 25 years later, you are posting this dishonest review and completely lying about what we accomplished for you and why we refused to keep working for you, while you owed us thousands of dollars.

Mr.

My divorce was a long time coming, and I had many misconceptions. The process was extremely uncomfortable, and I would encourage anyone to do ANYTHING they can to save their marriage before they consider divorce. That being said, if you reach a point like the one I did, and had no alternative, Azem...ika & Azemika is worth every penny. Nick explained everything in detail, and walked through the entire process with me. His expertise shielded me from rash and/or uneducated decisions. His presence kept me from having to engage the court, and now ex-wife, and proved the most valuable offering he could make. There comes a point when you are thinking about the money you are paying out, and you think you have a good handle on everything, but I can say that there were moments in the courthouse when the emotions were overwhelming, and I am so glad he was there. Bridgett is an incredibly sweet person and makes me feel welcome and comfortable every time I come into the office. She and Kim both walked me through all of the paperwork along the way and helped me do everything that I needed to get done. Whenever I call into their office, or if I am fortunate enough to be able to walk in, Bridgett treats me wonderfully and makes me feel like family. Thank you, Nick and family, for everything. I don't know how I would have gotten through this process without all of your help!

A very happy ending to a stressful complicated divorce

I have retained Nick on two different occasions. Both times he obtained very favorable outcomes in my case. He always returned calls and emails promptly and thoroughly. His expertise in family law is of the highest caliber as is evident by the degree of respect he has with his peers. He has amazing n...egotiation skills with the passion to pursue your case for your desired outcome. If Nick tells you something you can rely on it being the truth. No blowing smoke to make you feel he is your advocate. He is a fine lawyer who I have been impressed and immensely satisfied with. He has a quick wit which puts you at ease from the moment you meet him. In addition to Nick his brother Anthony is also available as his law partner with whom he has often consulted with on my case to obtain the absolute best outcome for me. You might say you actually get two lawyers for the price of one. Nick in and of himself is a great bargain but with Anthony it is an absolutely GREAT deal. Both are professionals' of the highest caliber as is their office staff which includes Bridget, Kimberly and Echo. They are all very interested in providing the best services for their clients. They made what was a very stressful experience a much more organized and calm outcome. I would recommend Nick to anyone looking to handle their family law needs. You will be very happy with your choice of the law firm of Azemika and Azemika. Because of his outstanding professionalism, skill level and sensitivity for his clients I affectionately refer to him as "Saint Nick". Thank you Nick.

I'd Hire Him Again (but hope I don't have to!)

An attorney friend of mine recommended that I contact Mr. Azemika when I sought advice on who I should hire as a divorce attorney. It proved to be an excellent recommendation, and one of the best decisions I've ever made. Mr. Azemika was very professional and highly competent throughout the entire... difficult process. Because of his history, associations, and courtroom experience here in Bakersfield he was able to consistently predict and out-maneuver the tricks, traps, and strategies of opposing counsel. Without exception, his efforts on my behalf resulted in the most advantageous outcomes. His rates and billing practices were fair and honest. In fact, I know of far less competent attorneys here in Bakersfield who charge exorbitant rates for what was ultimately ineffective counsel. Not Mr. Azemika -- he did an excellent job, has my utmost respect, and I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a consummate professional in the areas of family and divorce law, and child custody.
