Paul Robert Burns

I was slapped with a class action lawsuit. My go-to attorney, whom I’ve used for nearly 20 years, reviewed the case and told me he was not the right guy for this complicated case. He referred me to Paul Burns and said, “I hope he’ll agree to take the case. Good luck!” I was very nervous upon our f...irst meeting. I’d never been sued before and knew this class action was not a legitimate case but a fraudulent, malicious case concocted by a jealous competitor. They sold the case idea to an unscrupulous ambulance-chasing attorney, presumably on contingency, thinking it would be a multi-million-dollar case that he could retire on. Paul interviewed/interrogated me for a good hour before agreeing to take the case. Paul Burns slaughtered their case, and the judge agreed by dismissing it without even going to trial and ruling in our favor. Paul immediately exposed that the case was brought on by a malicious competitor who delivered a strawman on a silver platter, someone who had zero knowledge of any of the causes of action. Why the plaintiff’s counsel didn’t drop it out of the gate is beyond me. After 14 months of discovery, depositions, lost nights of sleep, and the worst year of my life, the judge threw the case out, based on Paul’s brilliantly written trial brief and defense in our favor—before even going to trial! Paul was thoughtful, diligent, extraordinary, compassionate, and driven to protect me and my company from being harassed out of business. Paul was always available, ready and willing to talk me off a cliff in the darkest days of the process, and counsel me and my partner when we would fight over the case. Paul is a genius and a true fighter for what he believes is right. He will go to bat for you and never back down. He is a bulldog and a knight in shining armor. Hopefully, I never have to use him again, but if I ever need someone in my corner, he is my new go-to guy.
