About Russell
Biography
Russell is a certified worker’s compensation specialist and an AV rated attorney, the highest rating recognized by the peer review publication, Martindale-Hubbell. For the last several years, he has been identified as a leader in the worker’s compensation field by several peer review publications such as Super Lawyers and Top Attorneys of Southern California. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court and has appeared numerous times before the California Courts of Appeal and has argued twice before the California Supreme Court.
In addition to representing injured workers before the Worker’s Compensation Appeals Board for the last 20 years, Russell has handled personal injury and County Disability retirement claims. He was privileged to have worked with his father, Allan S. Ghitterman. They laughed, argued, and ate lunch together for many years. His father was his mentor and hero. Along with his long-time spouse, Julie Harris, they are the proud parents of his two sons, Benjamin and Avi.
