Leticia Martinez

For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of helping families with substantial estates, business owners, trustees, and multigenerational families navigate sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, family governance, business succession planning, estate and gift tax planning, asset protection, and wealth preservation strategies. As Managing Partner of Ambrecht & Martinez, LLP, I believe the most successful planning begins with understanding a family's goals, values, and vision for future generations. Every strategy should protect wealth, strengthen family relationships, prepare future leaders, and create an enduring legacy.
At Ambrecht & Martinez, we take a collaborative approach to planning. I work closely with CPAs, financial advisors, business attorneys, valuation professionals, insurance specialists, and other trusted advisors to develop coordinated legal, tax, financial, and succession planning strategies tailored to each family's unique objectives. My goal is to provide thoughtful counsel, practical solutions, and highly personalized service.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts, with high honors, from the University of California, Davis, and my Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where I served as Managing Editor of the Hastings Law Journal.
After establishing my own practice in 2008, I partnered with John W. Ambrecht in 2024 to form Ambrecht & Martinez, LLP, combining decades of experience to serve families throughout Santa Barbara and California.

I have been honored by the Pacific Coast Business Times as both a 40 Under 40 honoree and a Top Woman in Business. I am an active member of ProVisors, the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, Santa Barbara Women Lawyers, and the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce.

Community service has always been important to me. I volunteer with Calvary Chapel Santa Barbara Children's Ministry and have served in leadership roles with the Santa Barbara Walk to End Alzheimer's, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), UCSB Affiliates, Friends of the Santa Barbara Public Library, VNA Health's Planned Giving Committee, and The Women's Fund of Santa Barbara.

I am passionate about helping families preserve wealth, strengthen relationships, and prepare future generations for responsible stewardship.
