Early last year I brought over my very beautiful Argentine girlfriend for an extended stay here in the States on her tourist visa. Then I did something crazy......I married her! :) :) We hired Jaffe law firm and worked almost exclusively with Kraig in getting my new wife legal status here. I am a lo...cal business man here in Santa Barbara and in the past years I have used other law firms in town for different reasons and I have to say that this was the most pleasant experience with a lawyer ever! My wife and I came over from the UK this year and everyone back home and here in the States said that acquiring a work visa and residency was a mine field. Then we had the good fortune to meet Arno. From the first meeting we became confident and relaxed about the procedure and we just followed Arno's... advice. Just six months later and I have US residency. DO NOT USE ARNOLD JAFFE AS YOUR IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY. After submitting our paperwork there was a request for evidence sent by USCIS. We gave him all the paperwork and he FORGOT to send it in. Our case sat for 6 weeks before we checked up on it online and realized that it was Suspended and on its way ...to being dropped. His response was that he doesn't check online and waits for them to contact him, meaning that our case would have been abandoned had we not done anything. When I went to confront him in person he snuck out the back of his office and had his associate come and talk to me about the contract. I had to show back up at his office later just to speak with him. This guy seems really nice at first, but once you pay him that will all change. He charged us an additional $100 (after a "flat fee") to answer a question that he had to google and call people about when another immigration attorney answered it for free over the phone off the top of his head. This guy DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. DO NOT USE HIM AS YOUR LAWYER OR YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.
