Barbara, was assigned my case in June or so of 2018. She was attentive, she returned my calls, she spoke with me regarding the case and was really like a level headed friend. She always acted like she cared and always told me the truth. She was credible, powerful and determined and we were ready to ...go to trial. The prosecution waivered and stumbled on a bit of their evidence gathering and Mrs. Lewis was there to illuminate it. She is just as excellent in the detective and fact gathering part of my case as she was pressing the prosecution during the pre trial motions and the many court appearances leading up to the actual case. The prosecution ended up dropping the case, and Mrs Lewis had saved me from being charged with a crime I didn't commit. Ive never had a public defender before (I hope I never do again) But if you're in a position of needing an attorney, I couldn't give a more sincere recommendation of Mrs. Lewis's attorney services for both legal and personal support.

She failed to represent my best interests my freedom,I was in custody for almost three actual long months,I went to law library 3-4 times per week seeking knowledge of the law pertaining to my case fighting for my freedom and learned that I qualified for an O.R so I got out on an O.R at my persuading... her on the law.I lost faith in the system,I will never be "free"in respect to trusting in justice ever again my for my innocence has been taken away for good,and now has replaced with deep mistrust and fear of the world,I will never be the same. Barbara Lewis is by far one of the best lawyers i have come across. Not only is she beautiful she's intelligent as well and knows her way around the courtroom.I had numerous sales cases with Transportation charges,enhancements excetera and I agreed and signed to a pretty good deal with the the DA's ...office but after signing with the DA's office Barbara still convinced the judge to take 2 more years off my sentence, these Court hearings were a very stressful time in my life but she answered my calls regularly and tried to comfort me with positive information and let me know that she will fight for me amd that's exactly what she did. Barbara Lewis is representing my daughter as a public defender. She has been non responsive to any phone calls and has answered one out of three emails. She missed my daughters last hearing so we are literally in the dark for another four months until the new hearing date. My daughter had a miscar...riage while in jail on July 3, 2014. I tried to get a doctor to see her in jail, contacted Ms. Lewis by phone and email with again no response, where she was going to see my daughter to get permission to speak with me. That was over six weeks ago and nothing has transpired. My daughter went in to jail with a $65K bail, it is now $90K. My daughter wants to plea but has NEVER been visited by Ms. Lewis. during her incarceration but rather is met half hour before her first hearing. There is no legal strategy and no information forthcoming to either myself or my daughter. I would give Ms. Lewis the lowest rating of -0.
