About Janette
Biography
I earned my Juris Doctor from Ventura College of Law and I am a member of the California State Bar. My practice focuses exclusively on family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and restraining orders.
I received an Associates of Arts Degree from Ventura College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a Major in Political Science from California State University Northridge. While at CSUN, I was accepted into and participated in the Legal Internship Program.
In addition to my law studies and employment, I was active in Student Government at Ventura College of Law. I was a member and officer of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and held the office of Secretary of the Student Bar Association.
I am also a recipient of the Mexican American Bar Association Scholarship and the Roy Gustafson Memorial Scholarship.
Prior to becoming an attorney, I was employed as a Family Law Paralegal for 16 years. While as a paralegal I was a board member for the Ventura County Paralegal Association.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking and spending time with friends and family. I can also be found repeatedly watching Gilmore Girls.

Janette has only been a lawyer for 3 years. Her inexperience will likely cost you more time and money than she’s worth. Beware.
