Biography
Choosing an attorney is one of the most important decisions you will make because you are trusting the attorney to help you resolve very personal and important matters such as the custody of your children, support, domestic violence, and property. I practice family law because I truly enjoy helping people work through challenging issues. While I recognize there are many fine attorneys to consider, our office provides a unique combination of expertise, experience, compassion, and convenience for our clients.
I have practiced family law for nearly 30 years and have been Certified as a Specialist by the State of California since August 1998. I have been selected to selected to Southern California's Super Lawyers from 2014-2019. This means that I bring a great deal of expertise and experience to your case. When we meet, I take the time to get to know you and really try to understand your particular issues and needs. WIth this information, I am able to better answer your questions, help find solutions and get results.
While I have handled cases throughout California, the vast majority of my cases are in Ventura County. As a result, I am familiar with the Judicial Officers, court personnel and procedures. Almost equally important, is my familiarity with members of the famiy law bar. Knowing the courts and local professionals, allows me to effectively present your case. Another benefit is that we are able to resolve many cases without involving the court. I am trained and experienced in collaborative law, mediation and fully promote alternative dispute resolution.
When a matter or issue is not resolved informally, I will aggressively represent you in court. I have tried hundreds of family law cases, many involving hotly contested child custody matters and complex financial and business interests.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed in the outcome of my divorce, he cost me at least a hundred thousand dollars in my divorce…maybe more, but I’ll never know because he was not very thorough.
