A life-long advocate for immigrant rights, Vanessa currently runs her own law practice dedicated to assisting families to secure the basic foundation of a stable life in the United States - obtaining and preserving lawful immigration status. Vanessa is also currently the Chair of Clergy & Laity United for Economic Justice of Ventura County (CLUE-VC) a county-wide non-profit organization working towards humane, comprehensive immigration reform and the development of safe, decent affordable housing for farmworkers. Vanessa also consults with local advocates for natural child-birth and attachment parenting.
