I had an extremely disappointing and concerning experience working with Jeffrey Willens. Throughout our engagement, communication was inconsistent, unclear, and ultimately unproductive. Despite paying a substantial fee, there was little progress made toward resolving my case, and I was not provide...d with clear documentation of filings or meaningful updates. When I made the decision to terminate representation and requested my client file, the situation escalated in a way that I found completely inappropriate for a legal professional. In a written response, Mr. Willens told me to “stop spamming” him with “stupid AI generated letters” and suggested I “seek medical attention.” This kind of language toward a client is not only unprofessional, but deeply concerning. Additionally, there was confusion and concern around billing and communications involving third parties that I did not authorize, as I was the individual who retained counsel and signed the agreement. Rather than working toward a resolution or maintaining professionalism, the tone of communication became hostile and dismissive. As a client, I expected clear guidance, advocacy, and respect — none of which were consistently provided. I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution. My experience resulted in unnecessary stress, lack of progress on my case, and ultimately a breakdown in the attorney-client relationship.
