Brittney Starling is a family law attorney with experience handling a broad range of domestic relations matters, including dissolution, child custody and visitation, domestic violence restraining orders, child and spousal support, property division, post-judgment litigation, and high-conflict family law disputes. She is known for her strategic litigation approach, strong courtroom advocacy, and commitment to thorough preparation in complex matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Starling practiced at a boutique family law firm in the Inland Empire, where she managed a diverse family law caseload and regularly appeared in court for hearings involving custody, support, domestic violence, and contested litigation matters. Her practice includes drafting motions and pleadings for all stages of litigation, conducting discovery, preparing settlement proposals, and preparing matters for contested evidentiary hearings and trial. She has experience handling high-conflict custody litigation, complex support disputes, and cases involving extensive discovery and contested factual issues.
Ms. Starling also has extensive background in child support enforcement matters. In addition to previously working for the Riverside County Department of Child Support Services, she has substantial experience handling Department of Child Support Services (“DCSS”) matters in private practice, including complex support litigation and civil contempt proceedings in San Bernardino County. Her background provides her with a unique understanding of both the governmental and litigation aspects of child support enforcement proceedings.
Practicing throughout Southern California, Ms. Starling regularly appears in courts across San Bernardino, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties. Clients appreciate her responsiveness, detail-oriented advocacy, and ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure litigation environments.
Ms. Starling earned her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School, where she was a member of the Whittier Law Review Editorial Staff and served as Articles Editor for the Journal of Child Advocacy. She also participated in the Children’s Advocacy Clinic and received Dean’s List honors during law school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Starling enjoys fitness, video games, watching wrestling with her brothers, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
