Alex graduated cum laude from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law. After law school, Alex earned her law license in Nevada and California and served as the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Kathleen Delaney.

During law school, Alex was awarded a merit-based scholarship after her first semester and the Eglet Wall Law Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement during her second year. Alex was also awarded a CALI Excellence award for the highest grade in her legal writing class and a best brief award during the Wagner National moot court competition. During law school, Alex founded the Child Advocacy Law Association and was also honored with the Public Interest Law Student of Distinction Award.

When Alex isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and young children. Her family means everything to her. Because Alex understands the immense, unquantifiable love that parents feel for their children and family, she started her own firm and helps others protect everything they own and everyone they love.

Highly Recommended

Before meeting Alex, I met with several lawyers closer to home, but was unimpressed and did not feel comfortable working with them. Living trust

A friend referred Alex to us, she did my dad's living trust and will I was so impressed by her and her staff that I hired her to do my own living trust and will. Alex is very knowledgeable and patient to explain everything and she really goes the extra mile to make sure everything gets well done. Caring and Professional

Alex came recommended to us from a friend who hired her. Though her office is not close to where we live, the recommendation was too good to not pursue her when we were looking to establish a trust. We are so glad we met with Alex, and decided to hire her. She truly cares about her clients. It's not just a job for her, she is always looking out for our best interests. She explains the whole process during the consultation, and makes sure that all family members that are affected by the outcome of the trust decisions, are involved in the process. She is very thorough, and goes over every detail, making sure you understand all your decisions and their repercussions. Her staff is topnotch. We would highly recommend Alex.

Amazing Attorney

Alex Varela is an exceptional attorney who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and responsive to her clients. I had the pleasure to meet and work with Alex when my parents were looking for a attorney to complete their living trust. My parents are hearing impaired which at times requires more time and patience when explaining very complex details. Alex took her time to ensure my parents understood the process and documents they signed, by hiring a sign language interpreter. I cannot emphasize the importance of estate planning. Everyone needs to have a plan for the unpredictable. Unfortunately, my father passed away about 6 months after my parents completed their living trust. During such a emotional and difficult time it was a relief knowing there was a plan and his assets were protected. If you have assets, no matter how much or how little, an estate plan is one of those things that should not be put off if you want to reduce stress and financial worry for your family during a difficult time. Very Thorough

Before meeting with Alex Varela to create our Living Trust, I envisioned being rushed into a room and ordered to sign generic Living Trust paperwork with hardly any explanation as to what was being signed...Boy, was I wrong! Alex explained in detail the importance of setting up a Family Trust (her knowledge is impressive) and we appreciate how she created and tailored our Trust to our needs. She is a real stickler for detail and perfection, and her/Nancy returning our calls was always timely. She's top notch!

Very helpful in creating Family Trust

Great Estate Trust Lawyer!

It was a great experience working with Alex. It is really nerve wracking trying to get a Estate Trust. Alex took the time to explain what it was, what she could do, the options she offered, and did it all while pregnant without ever making us feel like we were anything but her top priority. Varela Law is amazing

Amazing and professional

Alex helped my significant other and I win a case against Big's Furniture after they sold us a "scratch proof" couch. The couch was scratched by our small dogs the same day it was delivered. Alex contacted the company and although they did not respond she was able to win the case in small claims court, getting us an entirely new couch for free! She was responsive to all my questions, efficient, professional and a lovely person to work with. She made a not so pleasant situation much smoother and tolerable. Choose her as your lawyer!

Living Trust

The idea of creating a living trust and going through the process (all of the paperwork, time, etc we thought it would take to complete) was very overwhelming, but Alex made the process so simple! She was very professional, extremely thorough and completed our trust in only 3 meetings. We can't thank her enough for her hard work and patience that she had with us as we made such important decisions in our children's lives. We recommend her to everyone who doesn't have a trust (the reason usually being because the idea just seemed too much to have to go through). She's the best!

Revocable Trust

Peace of Mind

My wife and I hired Attorney Varela to plan our estate and family trust. Mrs. Varela was extremely sensitive to our needs and provided detail information of the plan and concentrated on areas that we were not knowledgeable about.
