Christina Bateman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1992 from UC Riverside where she was on the dean’s list. Ms. Bateman attended Western State University College of Law, where she was also on the dean’s list, was a Dean’s Scholar, graduated in the top 6% of the class – cum laude, with an award as the most outstanding female law student of Western State College of Law presented to her at graduation.
Ms. Bateman was Executive Editor of the Law Review and later was Editor in Chief of the school’s law review. Ms. Bateman was president of the Criminal Law Association and Federalist Society, as well as, Vice President of the Women’s Law Association. Ms. Bateman was selected to be on the Moot Court Team representing the law school, where she competed nationally against schools such as Harvard and Bolt Hall Law Schools in competitions across the country.
Ms. Bateman was selected as a speaker for the National Conference of Law Reviews while she served on the board for this organization. Ms. Bateman has served on the boards of the North Orange County YWCA, the Orange County Women Lawyer’s Association and Western State University Alumni Association.
Ms. Bateman received Witkin Awards for Excellence in Evidence, Sexual Harassment, and Death Penalty & Advocacy; high honors (4.0 grade) in Evidence, Criminal Law, Family Law, Sexual Harassment, and Remedies (in Tort and Contract law); and she received scholarships from Western State University Alumni Association, as well as, the Orange County Women Lawyers’ Association.
After obtaining her license to practice law, Ms. Bateman worked for several years as a Deputy Public Defender. Ms. Bateman started working privately in 2011 with her vast litigation and jury trial experience from her criminal law background handling family law, probate, immigration and civil matters, in addition to her criminal cases, giving her valuable experience to apply to your case.
Ms. Bateman is licensed to practice in California State Courts.
