Sherry Ann Garrels

I never read these reviews before hiring Ms. Garrels, I came back after her services to deliver a comment on how she handled my case and was very surprised to see such negative comments and I wonder who pays these people to do this? First, I am leaving my actual name so people (including her) know I... am an actual client. Two, I hired this person (unlike some of the commenters), it was on me to look up information on her and to see what kind of practice she does, some of those comments are very brave but not stating their names or say that they never hired her, so how in the world would you know????? In any case, my experience was nothing but total opposite...I had a Child Custody case and she help me with the entire process, she literally hold my hand as I am not acquainted even with the legal terminology. My case was different than most as it was an international case, not an easy one but Ms. Garrels and her team exceeded my expectations. I am nothing but grateful that for one, that they knew what they were doing and two, that we are able to accomplish our goals, always caring very carefully for what was best for my son.

Sherry promised everything... said I had an open and shut case since my spouse had a drinking problem. Said I would get custody and support. She accomplished nothing. Sent someone from "Attorneys to Go" to stand in her place for 3 court appearances while she did her naval attorney training. When... she was in court she was not engaged. She did not fight or even negotiate with the opposing attorney, just agreed. She talked me into giving up a holiday weekend with my child and said she'd get a PI but did not follow through. If I questioned what she was doing or her motive she would become defensive and unapproachable. In the end, she did not deliver. I could have done the same through legal aid. The worst part is she's sending me to collection for additional money she did not earn.

I worked with this Attorney for almost two years and she was always on time to court appearances, and seemed like she knew what she was doing, but at the end off the day she is not professional. Garrels says she knows how to deal with the court system, but when it comes to fighting a criminal case sh...e does not know what she is doing. She did not fight like she had to at trial and let the DA get away with many things she shouldn't have, even the judge had to stop the DA because Garrels was not doing anything to help me. At the end she just did a 5 minute closing statement and I was found GUILTY and i'm seeing life in prison.

Sherry will fight for you. She'll leave no stone unturned. She knows the law, and will weigh all circumstances before giving you her legal advice. She will be honest with you. Even when her suggestions seem illogical to those of us outside of the legal system, she knows what she's doing, so go wi...th her. I'd go back to her in a hearbeat and trust her with any legal issue that may arise.
