Biography
Dealing with Family Law, especially Divorce, my counsel to my client is not just before and during the divorce process. Additionally, I provide important knowledge and assist in explaining key items that the client needs to look for after the divorce. Ending a disintegrating marriage is made more difficult by the complexity of the divorce process and the emotional stress of dealing with the issues of child custody, support, and division of assets. This is where the Law offices of Indu Srivastav will step in to assist. Understanding the legal process is as baffling as trying to understand complex medical procedures, and just as you need to trust your physician, you need to feel confident with your attorney. Your divorce attorney must be a combination of therapist, confidant, clergy person and "legal eagle." I can provide all of the above to you in a divorce situation.
I always say "I love what I do." Every case is a challenge, dealing with different personalities, different case scenarios and different opposing parties; some reasonable, some totally unreasonable. For this reason, divorce cases are highly fact-driven. Your life and the facts that fill it are not the same as anyone else's. Yet, the law in each state dictates the nature of the divorce process and requires us all to confront the same issues. California is a community property state, meaning every asset or debt acquired during marriage is community in nature. During a divorce, parties take that equally. But it is not always that simple. I will help you prepare for this difficult journey, eliminate as many "surprises" as possible, enable you to understand the process, identify the critical concepts, guide you through the difficult decisions and generally make you an effective participant and contributor in your own divorce.

Single mom with no savings
Fair service from Lawyer and receptionist and clerks. Too much for what I needed. Poor communication, rushed and hard to get call backs for important quick answers that are the important part of any divorce/child support/spousal support issues. I don’t make a lot of money for a public educator.

Personal review of Indu Srivastav
My former spouse unexpectedly tried to sue me for alimony years after our divorce was final. Indu was right on the law and won a judgement in my favor. Prior to this Indu negotiated my divorce settlement that was very favorable to me. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
