Bebecca Anne Caley Does Not Know Employment Law

My daughter and I hired Rebecca for an employment issue. She drafted a settlement agreement that was later criticized by another lawyer I hired to take over her work. Rebecca does communicate well, but turns everything into a dramatic performance, and according to other lawyers delivers substandard ...work product. She means well, but we do not pay for well intentioned lawyers - no that is not what we pay for when we hire lawyers.

Billed More than Expected

My husband and I had hired Rebecca Caley for a small defense matter after our original lawyer got sick. She was ok, but a bit stretched with resources, and her intern was doing at least half the work. Her deposition defense seemed lethargic, and she seemed more concerned with small talk with opposi...ng counsel than with her client. What really annoyed my husband and me was that Caley was more concerned with her image and her corporate defense clients than little people. Not much heart. The case was resolved, and I cannot say that there was malpractice, but we were not impressed.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
