If you are preparing for arbitration and Thomas C Watts is submitted, be very careful. It was obvious to me that he prejudiced my matter before even signing on, as he works closely with the corporate lawyers at AAA, and his focus is protecting corporations and staying in their favor. He will not stra...y from that even with all of your compelling evidence (which he won’t view). Again, he will not review your evidence, he will forget about your conference calls (and then take his error out on you), confuse which party is speaking and scold you if you try to clarify, he will weigh your social media posts more than details of the matter, he will make error upon error, and when you dare question his lack of presence or commitment to the merits, he will punish you by directing you to re-file your complaint so that he can overturn prior rulings SOLELY to squash your legitimate, evidence based matter. I have never felt more taken advantage of in my life, and I’m not sure I will ever recover from so my loss and damage. All I sought in my efforts was to be heard and he did everything in his power to deny me of that as dismissively as a bully on a playground holding their enemy underwater while laughing as they suffer. I have never imagined an arbitrator as biased and unfair as Mr. Watts, and he ruined my last opportunity to get my life back after a corporation carelessly caused me serious damage that he refused to even look at. That corporation had apologized for their error, remedied the issues, and offered a generous settlement, even. After 2 years of hard work preparing my case, in 3 seconds Watts squashed it when he was reassigned after the Airbnb lawyer wrongfully disqualified an impeccably attentive arbitrator the day before our hearing. In my opinion, Mr. Watts over-inflates his value simply because he has been practicing for a long time, but I found him to be a heartless and dismissive man who soley cares about his paycheck and protecting his corporate clients.

Particularly in complex c...ases needing an Arbitrator or Mediator, Tom is an excellent choice and easily as effective as any retired judicial officer. Additionally, Tom is personable and open; he always has a smile for everyone. Good man.
