David Ewing Wald

Mr. Wald has practiced family in Los Angeles and Orange Counties for more than 42 years. He is a firm principal in the prestigious family law firm of  Hughes & Hughes, LLP in Tustin, California.

Mr. Wald has been assessed with an AAV Preeminent@ peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.  

1994-Present. Mr Wald is frequently appointed by the Orange County Superior Court to act in the capacity of Special Master to the Court to issue recommendations and findings regarding various issues arising from domestic relations litigation.  Mr. Wald has successfully concluded approximately 100 such appointments.

1982-2002, Mr Wald frequently assisted the Orange County Superior Court by sitting as  Judge Pro- Tem,  presiding over various civil settlement conferences and small claims trials.

Mr. Wald has completed the intensive 40 hour training in AMediating the Divorce Agreement@ presented by the American Institute of Mediation.

Mr. Wald is currently one of the select members of the family law bar requested by the Family Bench of the Superior Court, to preside over Voluntary Settlement Conferences in family law cases.

_Adjunct Professor at Goldengate University, Irvine Campus (1992-1999). Mr. Wald authored written course materials and composed and personally delivered  weekly three hour lectures for a ten-week course entitled "Legal, Tax and Valuation Aspects of Marital Dissolutions,@ a post-graduate course for Certified Public Accountants. This course has been recognized for Continuing Education requirements for the California Accountancy Board.
