Mr. Dalton’s practice includes a wide range of civil and business litigation, with a particular focus on mortgage, real estate, and financial services industries. He has represented a spectrum of clients, from individuals to large, publicly traded companies in a variety of matters.
Specifically, Mr. Dalton has participated in dispositive motion practice, including the successful defense of financial institutions and mortgage servicers against claims arising out of loan origination, wrongful foreclosure, fraud, unfair debt collection, loan modifications, and credit reporting. He has also participated in the successful dismissal of a major class action suit against dot-com company. In addition, he has represented financial institutions in arbitration and in multi-million dollar post-judgment proceedings. Mr. Dalton also has experience representing law firms and attorneys in legal malpractice actions as well as assisting in internal general counsel work.
Mr. Dalton has experience in all stages of civil litigation, whether simple or complex, including depositions, dispostive motions, trial preparation, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Dalton practices in both California state and federal courts.
