The Black Chamber 2014 Community Leadership Award was awarded Antoinette Naddour Balta for her efforts with Operation Veterans Re-Entry--and for her efforts to make sure veterans receive the benefits and legal resources they were promised and deserved and especially her community outreach! Antoi...nette's efforts and guidance helped the Black Chamber Education Fund to revise and update it's 501c3 Articles of Incorporation, to include military vetrans. She also holds a vital role with the Orange County Veterans and Military Families and Children Collaborative and is the Chairwoman of the Legal and Re-entry Committee. In this capacity I was able to gage her work with a committee that prepared the governing protocols. She was quick, efficient, and knew how to answer everybody’s questions. She is well-versed in the law and a pleasure to work with. Lastly, her expertise as a lawyer and her ability to be supportive to the area veteran groups in Southern California such as the Orange County Veterans Advisory Council, Disabled American Veterans, OC4Vets, American Legion, the Black Chamber Education Fund and most recently being selected as one of Senator Lou Correa's Women of the Year evidences her pride of work. Antoinette’s efforts the past several years has not gone unnoticed and has warranted the Black Chamber of Orange County to name her its 2014 Community Leadership Award recipient.
