Adam Charles Kocaj

Hiring Adam Kocaj caused severe harm to my legal and financial well-being; his representation was marked by administrative failures, unprofessional conduct, and an alarming disregard for basic attorney duties. He routinely ignored valid, documented medical evidence in my case and reacted with unprofe...ssional hostility whenever I requested accountability. Instead of advancing my case, he repeatedly demanded compliance while demonstrating a complete lack of competence. His conduct was so egregious that I filed a formal complaint with the State Bar of California. I retained Adam for a severe toxic exposure matter involving documented bodily injuries and hospital records. Despite receiving my accredited medical records, his office failed to properly organize or present them to third parties. When I applied for pre-settlement medical funding for necessary treatment, the underwriter confirmed in writing that Adam's office submitted zero medical records and improperly classified my personal injury claim as a basic property damage claim. His office's failure to present my medical evidence severely undermined my ability to secure funding for necessary care. His office also mismanaged court filings. He submitted an Amended Complaint without providing me a copy to review beforehand. When I requested the document, he blamed processing delays and refused to provide the un-stamped draft he submitted. He then claimed he could "cancel" the filing, withholding the legal record from his own client. When I presented written proof of these documentation failures, he abruptly withdrew from my case shortly before a scheduled court appearance. His communications were consistently condescending and rude, using the threat of immediate withdrawal to avoid addressing my case facts or providing my file.
