If you didn't perform pursuant to the agreement, they can dishonor it. As far as garnishment, they need to first get a court order.

Once the car has been sold to a bona fide third party purchaser you are out of luck.
You will not be able to get it back.

In order to garnish, they will have to obtain judgment. If the BK is filed before the judgment, there should be no issue of garnishment.

Anyone can sue in BK. But what would it be for? The fact that they were in BK
at the time you signed your lease by itself is not actionable.

I would recommend that you close the accounts with our x.
The BK should appear on your credit report so, yes

Unfortunately, unless you reach some amicable agreement... the only other alternative
is a court proceeding.
