Meldie Marie Moore

We hired Meldie's Law firm to help us adopt a baby. When we first contacted her law office we were put in touch with an associate. She said all the right things, made it seem like they were successful in matching adoptive parents with birth mothers. They knew what they were talking about. It seemed p...erfect. After our home study was completed, we got matched with a birth mother right away. We agreed to move forward and create an adoption plan with this Birth Mom. This is when the services of both Meldie and her associates declined significantly. All they wanted from us was money. They did a horrible job interviewing this birth mom and their background check was less then par. The background check stated this women had no known Facebook. In one search, I was able to find her no problem. I was then able to find out that this Birth Mom was a fraud just by reading a few things on her Facebook. When we confronted Meldie about it, her response was "oh thats too bad". We had paid them several thousands of dollars. As some birth mom's do disappear with no word, and we were aware of that, Meldie and her team stated specfically " there are no red flags". Unfortunately, after Meldie charging us for every text, phone call, voicemail, email, related to this adoption plan, we lost most of the money we had given her. This adoption plan was disrupted. The contract we signed with them was for one year. We were hopeful we would get another match soon. Today is our one year since we started working with Meldie and her team. Since the disrupted adoption I heard from her associate one time and never heard from Meldie again. We are still without a baby and out a lot of money. Its like they took our money and ran. I would NOT recommend Meldie or her associates to anyone. They caused us nothing but grief.

I just want to be a testimony of how caring and reliable Meldie has been to me. They are very understanding and trustable. If you have any case regarding adoption they are the right people and right law firm. I was very lucky to find them. Had we not turned to Meldie Moore for guidance, our lives and the life of our child would have been profoundly different. It was Meldie, not the doctors, not the psychiatrists, not the counselors, not the clergy, not the school; but Meldie Moore who guided us and our child through one of the most dif...ficult challenges of our lives. Our child, a "good" but very social shy kid, faced a mental break down due to a trauma mid High School. The options offered by "specialists" after thousands and thousands of dollars spent, offered no solution. The school was empathetic but unable to offer any direction. Short of "sending our child away" as recommended by "experts" who could never even direct us to where "away" was suppose to be nor tell us if "away" would even help, we found ourselves under Meldie's calm, knowledgeable and steadfast care. We also realized that Meldie knew more about every option available to our child than any of the experts combined. The School District did not know of or offer Meldies resources and depth of information. Meldie however knew the ins and outs of the school district, players involved, options available and what we could reasonable expect. The district knew her too and treated her with respect. Meldie met with our child personally and formed a relationship with thoughtful insight which enable her to offer ideas and options more suited to our child that we were able to explore. She went the extra step to put us in touch with other parents who had walked a path similar to ours who shared ideas and candor. Knowing we were not alone and that others had experienced similar pain, lessened the immense sadness and grief we were feeling as our world turned upside down and we struggled to understand it. Through Meldie we were able to exercise our child's IEP to complete High School at an amazing private school based on a supportive 1;1 teaching module combined with a therapeutic, wellness and life skills focus. Our child went from a child who would not get out of bed to face the day to a return of their former self as an engaged A student, eating and living a healthy life and looking forward to college. Had we not found Meldie we would have listened to "experts" and lost our child to an over priced RTC program with no guarantee of success. Instead our child stayed in our home, where we could give and get love in return, while we as parents and Meldie as advocate and our new found school led our child back onto the path of healing, self acceptance and wellness. Years ago in college I read a phrase that has stuck with me all my life, not knowing why until this past year. It was attributed to Confucius and it stated: "Do not walk in my head with your dirty feet". When you and your child are in crisis..... Dirty feet abound. Meldie's feet are clean and the path she walks and knowledge she offers are very clear. Go to her, listen to her and hire her if you should ever find yourself or someone you love in need. We are grateful we did and hope that this testimony will guide your heart to make the best possible choices for your loved one too.

Within a short time frame Meldie took on our case. My child was up against a district transfer among other harsh punishments, and Meldie was able to quickly get us up to speed and kept us informed along the way. She was very professional to us as well as others and was very empathetic to our situat...ion. She was available to answer questions, meet with us, and also met with our child to help ease their nerves with an upcoming board review. My child felt very comfortable with her as well. Meldie was able to negotiate and accomplish a desired result for our child's well being and had our childs best interest at heart. We feel very fortunate that Meldie was recommended to us as we felt like we needed someone with experience with the school system and laws. She knew her stuff. I would highly recommend Meldie to anyone who's facing potential unfair punishments upon your child.

Meldie Moore is a fantastic attorney! I had no idea what questions to ask or what to do for an adoption. I felt so comfortable with her, she walked me through the process step by step. If I had questions throughout it, I could call her up and ask her anything or send her an email and she would always... get right back to me. She knows her stuff and told me everything that would happen, what forms I would have to fill out, information that I needed to provide and prepared me for each phase of the adoption.
