RUN DONT WALK!! I hired this lawyer without doing my homework, expensive lesson! The first red flag should have been that anything you find on the internet about this lawyer is extremely recent! Hmmm? In my opinion he was extremely difficult to communicate and work with. On the few occasions I did... see or talk to him, he was scattered and all over the place. He NEGLECTED to inform me of a court date, and sent me into mediation with NO guidance or direction, or even explained to me what to expect! Then YELLED at me when he seen the mediation agreement!! Needless to say relationship terminated! I retained him with almost a $6k retainer, he refunded less than $3k and only represented me for a couple of months. Again expensive lesson! Would I recommend william strachan?? To no one EVER!!

My experience with William Strachan was great. He handled my divorce from my husband of over 10 years. It was an extremely difficult situation because my ex-husband's attorney kept mistakes. Bill was able to identify all these mistakes and argue in court about rules of court and law. He was very orga...nized and thorough. My court paperwork was perfect. Bill has a great work ethic and is detail oriented. One of the things that impressed me most was how ethical and fair he was. Our case was so strong that my ex-husband agreed to settle out of court for a short term payment of spousal support. I was able to protect my retirement, which is practically unheard of in the dissolution of a long term marriage. I am totally satisfied with the service I received and recommend him strongly.

I cannot fathom navigating the complexities of my three year divorce case with anyone but Bill! He has counseled, calmed, and directed me... when I might potentially damage my case. He stood by me even through financial crises. And while my case isn't over, I know the outcome will be the best poss...ible. The previous negative review could not be more off base. Mr. Strachan has represented me since 1995 in a divorce case in which my ex-husband has come back numerous times to attempt to have my settlement changed. Mr. Strachan has always been there for me both in person when I lived in California, and ...since I moved to another state. He has worked diligently every single time we had to go back to court. More importantly, he was won each and every time. He's been patient when I've been in a panic, has always explained everything that needed explaining, and answered any question I've had. If I called him when he was with a client or in court, he called me back as soon as he could. And his fees were less than what my ex was paying his attorney! As for the charge that his paralegal did "...all the work..." that is also untrue. Yes, the paralegal does a great deal, but that's what they are trained to do. There are only so many hours in a day which includes meeting with other clients and going to court. No attorney could do everything which is why there are paralegals. And his paraglegal is also the best. If there were more than 5 stars to give Mr. Strachan, I would give him more than 5 stars. You will not find a better attorney than William Strachan.
