1 STAR -- I WOULD NEVER HIRE THIS ATTORNEY AGAIN !!!!! Extremely disappointing experience with Hieu Do. I hired him through company "Off The Record" (OTR) specifically to fight my traffic ticket and attempt to get it dismissed. I made it very clear that I was NOT hiring an attorney just to get a sm...all fine reduction. Before court, Mr. Do personally asked me whether I had completed traffic school within the previous 18 months. I answered YES and specifically told him I was not eligible for traffic school. So what was the result I paid an attorney for? Mr. Do told me the officer showed up and was "ready to testify," and then reported that the judge granted me traffic school and a small reduction in my fine. Traffic school--the very thing I had already told him about when i hired him!!?? I then repeatedly asked OTR and HIEU the most basic questions: Did the officer testify? Did you cross-examine him? What defense did you present? Did you actually argue for dismissal? No response. Nothing. Absolute silence. I still have not received an explanation of what he actually did in court to fight my ticket. To make matters worse, only afterward did I discover that California State Bar records show Mr. Do previously received professional discipline involving an actual suspension from practicing law in 2013. He is currently licensed, but I certainly wish I had known his disciplinary history and researched the independent reviews before allowing him to represent me. In my experience, paying an attorney for this result was a complete waste of money. I expected an experienced traffic attorney to fight my case--not simply tell me afterward that the officer showed up and then stop responding when I asked what was actually done on my behalf. I would never hire Hieu Do again and absolutely cannot recommend him. DO NOT USE HIM as you will regret.. .same like i did. Do your research before trusting your traffic case to him and "Off The Record" company . You are better off representing yourself than paying him and hiring him. And about his rating?? His ratings are false!!! On OTR web site he has 1,385 reviews, rating of 4.6 , with over 7K booked cases !!!?????? You can not click on any of the reviews to read about it or to see any of it... Looks like that those are all phony reviews installed to look like he is a experienced and good traffic attorney where in fact he is the worse i have ever hired. Do your self a favor... STAY AWAY from this attorney!!!!
