James Russell Stout

I would never recommend Jim Stout. He was very quick to recommend taking my Ex to court on an Exparde so he could collect his retainer. He did not explain to me the consequences of losing the exparde (paying my exs lawyer fees, etc). He did not take sufficient time and gather all information and evid...ence prior to the exparde', putting together a solid motion which is why we lost the exparde. Not only did we lose the first day in court, we spent 2 hours in the morning waiting for a judge who recused herself because she had prior history with Jim and I was billed for this! Jim Stout negligently filed the motion in the wrong county. Having filed in the wrong county, this cost me another day in court and the hearing being moved to another county. I asked Jim Stout for an invoice prior to substituting him out. On this first invoice I had roughly $350 of my retainer left, but once he received the substitution letter he continued adding billable hours, eating up the rest of my retainer and some.
