Landon Charles Villavaso

Juvenile dependency proceedings can be emotional and complex, and there are many parties and interests involved. Throughout the entire year-long process, I never felt that he was busy taking care of other clients. He was extremely accessible and responsive by phone, text, and email, and I truly felt like he had dedicated himself full time to my case even though I knew he had other clients. That's how responsive he was. I will start off by saying that Mr. Landon Villavaso is one exceptional attorney. My very first over the phone conversation with Mr. Villavaso regarding my case he made me feel very comfortable, he was so knowledgeable, felt my pain and I knew then that his expertise was exactly what I needed to move... forward with my terrible custody battle. Mr. Villavaso was always available to commuicate rather it be over the phone, text, email etc...and although yes he’s quite the busy attorney he makes you feel as if you are his only client. Your case is priority. Mr. Villavaso stayed on top of my case daily and made sure to update me every step of the way and walked me through everything. If it wasn’t for Mr. Villavaso I can’t say that I would have my daughter today. It had been 4 long years for me but after hiring Mr. Villavaso he got right on my case and before I knew it things changed around in my favor. I am so overwhelmed with joy to finally put all this behind me and have a fresh start with my daughter and I owe it all to Mr. Villavaso. It is difficult for me to compose this review being that my emotions for Landon's work is very overwhelming. It is difficult for me to put into context the order of my feelings and the expression of my gratitude for Landon because without Landon, my case with family court would have been an impossibl...e victory. My case was much broader than proving my innocents as it related to a false allegation claim that was made against me. It was about seeking TRUTH. It was about seeking JUSTICE. It was about WINNING against a system that is within a "victims" environment as the odds are stacked greatly against the defendant. Did you know that in Family Court, your innocents is measured upon a fifty to fifty-one preponderance of evidence ratio? When defending against a child's claim, along with exaggerated (some times bold face lie) reporting from The Department, it makes TRUTH very difficult to prove. This is where Landon's gift as a Family Court Defense Attorney shines. First let me say that it has been my experience with Landon that his greatest quality as an attorney is his dedication to his cases. I got the sense from Landon that he only accepts cases that he believes in. Not necessarily in terms of winning. But, in terms of truth. ~ For there are many "innocent" defendants in family court. Landon seems to have a great sense of truth-sayers. This allows Landon to only work on cases he feels passionate about. This leads into the reason why I retained Landon. He is passionate about truth. I found Landon to be an expert in Family Court & DCFS advisement. I consider myself a fairly educated person, but dealing with Family Court and DCFS, seems to require a set of knowledge and logic that we would not have unless we were knowledgeable of the System. There were many instances to where I came to Landon with an issue with respects to Family Court and DCFS and Landon was able to provide me clear and understandable advice that really helped me in my posturing with DCFS and understanding of the Family Court Process. He assisted me greatly in helping me understand how to get my truth out in the Family Court Environment. Another quality that I feel is a requirement for me to let known about Landon is that he is extremely communicative. (Which, you don't find too often in attorneys.) I never had to deal with second hand communication from his assistant or paralegal. All communication was direct. It was my experience that Landon is a very busy man. And as such, he may not answer the phone right away. But, you can always expect a call that day. Even if it is on his commute home. Landon also did a wonderful job with preparing me for court. I remember my first family court experience. It was the Petition Hearing. It was horrific. The process was very fast and very confusing. My Court Appointed Attorney did the best job he could do explaining the process, but being that he had many, many cases that day, he was unable to have me completely understand what the heck had happened and what the next steps were. Thankfully, my experience with my trial hearing was much better. Landon was able to answer all my questions as it related to the process and prepare me for the trial in a way that no other attorney could have. Being that I am running out of character space, I will close my review by saying that if you are in search of A GREAT Family Court Attorney, particularly within False Allegation Cases, it is my believe that you CAN NOT hire a better attorney to represent you. His knowledge of law, Compassion for your situation and Passion for his work allows for a partnership that extends more into friendship. Maybe that's what makes working with Landon so great. The partnership that you hold with Landon evolves into more of a friendship. After the 50% completion line with my case, I felt that I was talking to a friend rather than a hired lawyer.
