also known as CJ Pearl
For over 18 years, I have represented diverse businesses in high profile employment and business litigation matters throughout California and the U.S.
I represents clients in all aspects of labor and employment and business litigation, specializing in high exposure class and collective actions. I also spend a large part of my practice advising and counseling clients in all aspects of employment and HR-related issues. My clients include start-ups and small business to large international corporations.
I believe in a preventative approach to advising and defending clients, working to best resolve or avoid litigation in an efficient and economical way. My matter-of-fact approach and professionalism has garnered the respect of opposing counsel, helping to best resolve litigation to the ultimate benefit of my clients. I take tremendous pride in my organizational skills, area-specific knowledge, and strategic preparedness to help achieve the best results for my clients.
I earned a B.A. in History from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo, graduating as a member of the National History Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta. During college, I was a Legislative Intern for United States Congressman William “Bill” Paxon and studied Humanities and Literature at Oxford University (New College). I then earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law where I was a certified clinical legal intern with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and Vice-President of the Student Bar Association.
I am admitted to all state courts in California and am licensed to practice in the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern and Northern Districts of California, the United States District Court, District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Outside of my litigation practice, I am a Little League and travel ball baseball manager and active in the Mission Viejo-area YMCA Adventure Guides where I serve on the executive leadership counsel (both Expedition and Federation levels). I also volunteer my time with the Orange County Second Harvest Food Bank and the Community Action Partnership of Orange County. I also recently founded the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) at the Ladera Ranch Elementary School.
