I received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine. I initially majored in Biology, but I found my passion for law after taking an Introduction to Criminology, Law, and Society class. I immediately switched to a Criminology, Law, and Society major and concurrently worked as a research assistant for both a prominent sociology of law professor and white-collar and corporate crime professor.
After receiving my B.A., I worked as a Bankruptcy and Taxation law office in Northern California where I gained extensive experience in both fields. I entered Whittier Law School where I was the runner-up in the competitive Susan E. McGuigan Oral Advocacy Competitino for first-year law students and became heavily involved in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. I received one of the highest grades in my Family Law and Community Property law classes. While in law school, I interned for a family law practice located in Santa Ana.
After obtaining my Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School, I volunteered for the Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinic in the Superior Court located in Chula Vista, California while studying for the California State Bar. I worked on a pro bono basis with various individuals who needed assistance with their domestic violence disputes. While awaiting my bar results, I worked as a law clerk for Hargreaves & Taylor, LLP, a prominent family law firm located in downtown San Diego where I assisted with trials and overall legal strategy. Upon passing the bar in February 2014, I worked in various law firms of varying sizes in Los Angeles County, Orange County, and San Diego County where I gained extensive family law experience.
I have experience with Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, and San Diego County which makes me a versatile individual with knowledge of local rules from all four counties. I have experience with all areas of family law, including dissolution of marriage, legal separation, custody and visitation, grandparent visitation, move-away requests, child and spousal support, support arrears, pre-nuptial agreements, domestic violence restraining orders, and post-judgment modifications.
