Father never paid any child support si ... nce the divorce. I represented the Mother. I was able to negotiate not only the full amount of the arrears owed by the Father but also Father's agreement to be responsible for the child's college expenses which is support and maintenance that extends beyond the expiration of the statutory obligation for child support under California law.

Mother and Father were previously married and divorced. I helped Mother gain primary custody of her son suffering from Type I Diabetes after Father’s actions proved he was unfit to care for their child ... , age 10. Mother alleged instances of abuse by Father and his new family. After preparing Mother extensively for the required child custody and visitation mediation, the child disclosed of the abuse to the mediator, placing Father and Father's attorney in a difficult position. Father and Father's attorney realized that pursuing litigation was pointless and asked the court to adopt the recommendation report of primary custody to Mother. Father in this case has been limited to 3 day visitations per month with no holiday visitation to Father unless the child desires such visitation. Father was required to attend conjoint therapy with the child and undergo significant mental health counseling with a licensed therapist before his visitation would be expanded.
