I came to Moshtael Family Law after being displeased with my prior counsel and receiving several referrals to MFL. One referral stated "If you want a real PAIN in the A$$, go with NAVID!" This particular referral meant the above statement in the most positive light. The other referral retained Nav...id and he was able to solve some difficult issues with her divorce...she then needed to move to a "less aggressive" attorney becasue Navid handled business and created a path forward for her. I needed a more aggressive attorney for my highly contentious divorce, and Navid was able to jump right in and gain momentum. I was dealing with constant petty emails from opposing counsel. Navid and his team would discuss with me that if a correspondence required a response they would tackle, however, responding to petty emails was not in my best interest and the $ to go back and forth, and that my retainer should be reserved for the most important issues. I respect Navid and his team's care for wanting to keep costs down and knowing what is worth my mental bandwidth and financial resources. I am still in the thick of a divorce and feel protected by Navid and his team. Kimberly has been indispensable through this process with how accessible and responsive she is. I'm going through a nasty divorce and a large part of it revolves around custody. I first retained an attorney who promised to be a lion and proved to be a kitten. I was getting ambushed by opposing party and my soon to be Ex and felt helpless. I had so many sleepless nights from the headache I was g...oing through. One day I was asking a friend if he knew of a law firm that was aggressive and had experience in what I was dealing with. That person referred me to Moshtael Family Law. I called and, on my call, I told his intake person of some of my problems and how it was time sensitive. That person put me on hold and came back and told me that Navid was on vacation outside the US, but he would call me next day while on his trip. I talked to Navid who took time out of his vacation and right away I got a sense that he is the real deal. I did not hesitate and followed my gut feeling and retained him same day. Actually, we were recommended to Moshtael by a paralegal from a law firm we had already been working with. The Paralegal told us that our case was more complicated than what her firm could handle and Moshtael was more equipped to handle our case. Our case was unique. My mother was the client but b...ecause of her age and her Mild cognitive impairment, She was not capable mentally and emotionally to handle it on her own. I handled all of her legal issues through power of attorney. The Paralegal was right, once we switched over to Moshtael things started happening. After multiple hearings and then a trial Lance and Navid did exactly what they promised, they got my mom what she was entitled to by law. Because this was all new to us, they did an excellent job explaining the step-by-step process, and the risk that were involved. They handled our case professionally and with extreme patience.
