Lauren Michelle Doyle

Lauren Doyle, a Partner at TLD Law, is a business and estate planning attorney. Her practice focuses on corporate counseling, business succession planning, and estate and tax planning. Ms. Doyle works in TLD Law’s Irvine office and provides legal services to individuals and business clients throughout California.

Business Planning Services

Ms. Doyle assists clients in all aspects of business planning and management, from startup to sale. She helps individuals in selecting and forming legal entities, negotiating and drafting capital structure agreements, including stock buy-sell, operating, and subscription agreements. Ms. Doyle also provides day-to-day business operational advice, including issues with corporate governance and contract and lease drafting. Ms. Doyle also has experience with mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on business succession planning for closely held businesses. Ms. Doyle has worked on several large M&A transactions, from negotiating and drafting the letter of intent, purchase agreements, and schedules, to conducting due diligence, and managing post-closing activities.

Estate Planning and Trust Administration Services

Ms. Doyle represents families in preparing estate plans, including wills, trusts, advanced health care directives and powers of attorney. She also advises clients on strategies for reducing or eliminating estate taxes, avoiding probate, defending assets from creditors, and setting up legacy trusts and special needs trusts. Ms. Doyle also guides clients through the trust administration process, which includes preparing trustee notifications to beneficiaries and certifications of trust as well as transferring assets from one generation to the next, preserving low property tax values, and resolving complex issues that arise in during this process.

Ms. Doyle is an active member in the Irvine Chamber of Commerce where she serves on the Women of Influence committee and was selected as a 40 Under 40 Business Leader in Orange County in 2020. Lauren was also nominated by the Orange County Business Journal for the 2020 Women in Business Award. She is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, including the Business and Corporate Law section. She also enjoys being a member of the Association For Corporate Growth – Orange County and being a volunteer for Girls, Inc.

Prior to joining TLD Law, Ms. Doyle earned her B.A. from New York University in 2008, where she majored in Journalism and Psychology. She graduated as Salutatorian, 2nd in her class, and summa cum laude from Western State University, College of Law in 2013, where she also served on the editorial board of the Law Review and competed on the Honors Moot Court Team.

Ms. Doyle grew up in Newport Beach and graduated from Mater Dei High School in 2004. She now lives in Costa Mesa with her husband, who is also an attorney, and their two young sons.
