This law firm allowed me to move on with my life from a very hectic year and a half. They handled my case so smoothly, professionally, and ethically. The attorney for the other side was dishonest and Ms. Montes and her team handled all of his maneuvers with nothing but finesse and holding the line wh...en necessary, so that he could not do anything when push came to shove to try and eek more money out of the process. I divorce case had a lot of complications and twists and turns because of the nature of the situation, and I was amazed at how this legal team handled each and every twist intern, so that each one of them became a non-issue and we could move forward to reach the very end with success. Speaking of money, all expenses were itemized by the Montes Law Firm, and the interactions were transparent, along with information provided to me, and all of this occurred throughout the entire process. Having experience with other lawyers in the past, this transparency is a rare find and not something to be taken for granted. The team regularly communicated what was going on, what to expect next, and stayed open-minded throughout the entire process to any considerations or concerns that I might have had, based on what I knew about the current situation. Ms. Montes and her her firm are the proper balance of flexibility and toughness. They will get you to the finish line with a big smile on your face! Going through family law proceedings is tricky enough and difficult to navigate as it is, and to add to it, the lawyer with whom I was working before I found this law firm was unprofessional and not honest and eventually had to be fired. I should have done it sooner. Nonetheless, I am super-grateful that I found this law firm! As in many other professions, there are plenty of crooks when it comes to attorneys (I should know, as my previous attorney for this case was one example, as well as the lawyer for opposing counsel, simply trying to drag out what was already a complicated case, just so that he could obtain more legal fees). Mrs. Amy Montes was professional, realistic, prompt and thorough. I had previously spoken with, and had paid, two other lawyers​ that were highly rated in Orange Couty Yelp. They were not as good as Amy. ​Third time is a charm I guess. I felt that Amy Montes had my best interests in mind. Realize... that divorce/dissolution of marriage is one of the hardest things you will go through in your life. You need to have someone that you trust that has your best interests in mine--not just their own. Attorney's are not free for a reason. I met Amy when she was not in the impressive Irvine office she has now. When a lawyer tells you that you may not actually need to go to court (although the possibility always exists), and gives you real advice based on your situation, trust is earned. I felt like the other two attorneys I spoke with in the area were simply trying to use fear-based​ tactics to get me to sign up. I asked Amy what the best and worst case scenarios were and she was right on the money. She became strong-willed​ in my situation where I may have missed the mark myself. Long story short I ended up retaining Amy on a consultant basis and she gave me real and relevant advice for my situation. This advice provided helped create what was ultimately the possible result for my situation. She saved me tens of thousands of dollars by doing what was right. Amy listened attentively even during weeks when they were busy in court with other cases. Someone from her staff always was in contact and Amy made personal time when necessary to handle my case specifically. I met with her personally several times, multiple emails and phone calls. Not once would I say she was not on top of my case. She noticed several key points that I would have missed that could have been very costly to me. In addition, at no time was Amy ever condescending or belittling--I cannot say that about other Attorney's staff that I encountered. We were able to stay out of court and through Amy's counsel the resolution that I achieved is both fair and beneficial to everyone involved. I just wanted to review the Law offices of Amy Montes. I used this office to handle my cross country divorce. I was very nervous in the beginning due to any possible custody issues that may arise, due to me moving cross country from where I lived with my then husband for a new job. Amy advised me ...of things in the beginning and made sure I had my ducks in a row before we filed. We initially filed for Legal Separation, since I did not have my residency requirement time in, and then we quickly amended it to divorce proceedings once the 6 month residency requirement was met. Although the process could have ended sooner had my ex not been so difficult with handling his side of things, we still ended up getting everything finalized within 7 or 8 months of our initial filing for Separation. I was always kept apprised of changes or non responsiveness of my ex, and felt I was given pretty good explanations of what was going on. We avoided what could have been a trial, due to the diligence of the office of hounding my Ex to get his side handled. Was very happy and would recommend this office for anyone dealing with a divorce.

I have never met a more professional yet personable attorney. She had helped us last year in a custody case and again this year in another custody case. Both cases were very difficult, but Ms. Montes helped us every step of the way. We were always informed and contacting her was never an issue. She i...s very knowledgeable and on point with everything she does. She covers every base and prepares you for everything that may come your way and helps you understand the court process, which can be so confusing at times. She has successfully been able to gain more custody time as well as rights and guidelines for the custodial agreement. She has a very approachable personality and knows how to be heard and make her point in the courtroom. Her focus is on restoring our family and making sure the child/children are always first priority. Ms. Montes is as professional as she is friendly.
