aweful, rude, inconsistent

She basically allowed the case to go on for almost 3 years. She cost me so much money and got mad at me if I questioned her. She used foul language, took advantage of my misery and was financially abusive.

Do not hire this Attorney

We hired Danica Hanich in what should have been a slam dunk custody issue case. She was charming and said all the right things in the beginning, but as things progressed was letting things fall through the cracks, copped an attitude with my husband when he suggested that she needed to be a "Bull Dog..." because the other attorney was known for this, missed deadlines, and generally dropped the ball at very key, pivotal points along the way. The final straw was that she failed to get a signature from my husband's ex at the end of our settlement meeting with the ex (which was nearly everything my husband was asking for) and days later, when his ex was asked to sign the final paperwork, she said she changed her mind, and wouldn't sign. So, we then had to go to court which cost many, many more thousands of dollars. Go to Ms. Hanich if you want to spend an exorbitant amount of money, for schlocky, inexperienced work and get yelled at.

Avoid at all costs!

Long after my case was finished and my last payment sent, she found shady ways to squeeze money out of me. Avoid her at all costs. She'll probably find a way to charge me for writing this so I will keep it short.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
