Had my case for 2 years never said a word in court, never argued in my favor, missed court often, never gave me advice, inaccessible too many things to say. My case still going on 2yrs 3 months later because of her ineptitude. Only occations she would try to reach me (through her secretary) was whe...n I fell behind on payments. $9000 later I was broke and I could no longer pay her the remaining $6000 ($15000 total) so she decided to stop "representing" me without even letting me or the court know. Other legal advisers tell me my case is so easy it should've been solved in 1 or 2 three hearings maximum.

I hired her for a trial 2 months prior and when my court day arrived she could not attend. On the continued date she was present but had nothing filed on time. I went from have primary custody of my kids 75% of the time to completely losing them due to her not having representing me right and speakin...g up.

I hired this attorney thinking that I would be getting someone fair and aggressive to represent me. I am a man and I was seeking out someone who practices for fathers rights. Since she was fairly cheap, I figured I would be able to afford her. Oh my gosh, where do I start?? Well, in the year and a ha...lf I had her as my attorney, I have gotten nothing to go in my favor. She has made mistake after mistake after mistake when it comes to her and her office properly serving my ex, showing up to motions, filing continuances, and helping me get my supervised visitation taken away. She had me file a false report on a therapist to the board of Behavioral Health so I would get a new one which didn't work. She took a YEAR to actually get heard for a motion to switch therapists and that still isn't going my way. My child support has not changed at all and now I am facing a contempt charge because she directed me not to pay any support. Kathleen Alvarado has already been in trouble for unethical practices and let me tell you, her practice has not changed. She continues to practice unethically and unlawfully and really needs to be investigated and have her right to practice law taken away. I still have nothing in my favor but yet she is quick to collect my money. At all costs, please look for another reputable attorney to represent you.
