She was my attorney in a family court case in San Bernardino, Ca for over four years! I allege she filed the preliminary disclosures over four years late and I may be sanctioned. I allege she lied about filing an At Issue Memorandum. We had a four-way meeting scheduled with the other side, but the...y cancel at the last moment and she blamed me! I had to let her go and will file a fee dispute and possibly a malpractice case. There are definitely only few good family law attorneys in the area, but she is not one of them. I paid her exactly as agreed, so money was not an issue. Stay clear.

I've sat on this review for 4 months now. Initially, I wasn't going to say anything, but I've been suffering and struggling. I was with JL for almost 4 years for a divorce. My marriage was only 2 years. Things started off great, and there were wins. When we finally had an agreement after about a y...ear and we submitted the judgment. Mind you, i was being dragged around outside of court and scrapping by in another country because my ex had to be supported even though I had full custody. Jl talked me out of filing for support. Said it looks bad if you're going for custody and money at the same time. The final judgment was kicked back 5 times! If that wasn't bad enough JL office took at least 3 months every time to make corrections. And the corrections were never 100%. I was blind and just signed things because the goal was to get it over with. During this whole process I was still being harassed and abused by my stbx. JL just kept telling me to deal with it and I'm almost divorced. Well.. the 5th time the judgement was kicked back all hell broke loose. My ex filed a bunch of stuff dragging out the process another year and I recieved services from someone who obviously didn't want to be in court or on my case. She doesn't check her employees work and files things at the last minute. How do I know she doesn't check her employees work? Because they messed up the number BIG time and miscalculated my exs income, they just took the other lawyers word for it! It was soo crazy that I had to start crunching numbers because what I was ordered to pay made absolutely no sense! Instead of paying like 220 for child support... I'm paying almost 900 a month for cs, ss and arrears. Mind you i already supported my ex the first year! Make it make sense people! I told her all the things my ex was lying on and it just went in one ear and out the other. I waited 3 months after the last hearing before I finally gave up and found a different atturny. I have been hemorrhaging money between bills, court orderd payments, and new atturny fees. Why is my divorce taking 4 years when I was only married 2?! She doesn't listen, getting ahold of her is a nightmare, getting copies of documents you or opposition field is a whole thing in itself. Just stay away people. Everything people have said in these reviews is true. My only regret is that I was too stupid to move on sooner. I was blindly loyal and I am paying for it. She won't argue your case or try to convince the judge. She will just file motions, responses (when she feels like it) and then say it is what it is. You do not want this.

Absolutely terrible law office, I would have been better off filing myself. Bad legal advice that ended up costing me thousands, very unresponsive, incompetence on every level, including document mistakes, failure to file documents in a timely manner resulting in lengthy delays, and promising to take... care of things and never following thru. Find someone else, seriously!

Josefina Valdez- A one in a lifetime attorney! Being in a high conflict custody battle for years I have gone through several attorneys. For the most part they are all the same, don’t know your case, don’t take the time to know your case, unprepared and you’re basically easy money and another case... on their desk. Your bill keeps racking up and At the end of the day you have found in a deep hole of debt and have no hope for anything further than what you could have possibly gained unrepresented. It’s a dirty game you have to take your chances on, sadly. Now that I got that out of the way let me rant about how amazing Ms. Valdez is…. From the day we met with Ms. Valdez, I knew she was different, she actually listen to what we were saying. That was the first time we had ever experience that. Not only did she listen but she ACTUALLY remembered every single detail of my husband’s case. We not once throughout her representing my husband have we had to remind her of anything. That is such an important quality in an attorney that cannot go unseen, especially when these facts can determine your outcome. I was impressed by her ability to retain all the small important details during a hearing. Ms. Valdez has not only gone above and beyond our expectation of what an honorable family law attorney defines but her honesty has gained our love for her. She has shown through her work the love she has for what she does, her knowledge and expertise in family law has guided my husband throughout this process. Ms. Valdez is a professional and master in the field. She’s affordable, trustworthy and has your best interest at heart. Don’t be fooled by the way other attorney’s market themselves, hire Ms. Valdez, you will thank me later ;) I am beyond thankful for the day I found her. Ms. Valdez- you are truly and angel sent from heaven, your quality work does not go unseen and we couldn’t thank you enough for all that you have done thus far. You are truly the ideal attorney everyone going through these moments is looking forward to having you represent them. The best of the best!
