Beware! INCOMPETENT / MONEY HUNGRYTOO MANY VACATIONS ON YOUR DOLLAR AND LEAVES YOU HANGING!

Consistently delays hearings & admitted it to one of my witnesses! Also, (congrats to her) she's pregnant & will be on maternity leave probably Mid Oct 2024 until next year! She started off strong, UNTIL SHE WASN'T!! Which only lasted a few weeks. Acts like she cares about your case. I absolutely pro...mise, she does NOT! She has no empathy for your divorce. Only her pocket book & vacations! You have to beg her to get something done! In an 8 month span, she has been absent 3 months, for vacations! Upon her return she has her office call me for more funds. In total she took me & my family for $24,000. My divorce has been going on for 2 years. 15 months w/Ms. Laundis. I hired her to help w/a very contentious divorce. She assured me she could handle this case! Obviously, she could NOT. She kept telling me I was giving the respondent too much credit, saying "he's not that smart." But then I'd predict his next move. She'd say to me, "you really know this guy." No Sh*t Sherlock! I was the one married to him! She rushes the case w/the Judge & will dismiss motions to make things easier for her. She'll make promises over the phone, then denies she ever said it! SHE DOUBLE CHARGES HER CLIENT'S. She copped to it over the phone to me. Then to smooth things over, she deducted $10,000. off of my bill as what she "claimed" was a "courtesy."You don't take $10,000 off a bill for a courtesy! I made it very known that the person I was divorcing was going to cause a lot of issues, lie about income, expenses, committed no less than 10 Atro's violations, stalked me, committed perjury, along w/ lying to an officer in 2022 on camera. & now has 21 contempt charges. First court appearance w/her, she called me to asked if we could dismiss 35 motions to compel that the respondent was to provide the Court. I Stated "NO." I had paid a previous attorney for those motions & believed them to be vital to my case. She stated "we could handle it at another time." So she dismissed them. I was so mad! She over books herself w/clients. She gets her clients cases mixed up in court. She even discussed someone else's case w/me instead of mine. Since my motion to compels were dismissed, she realized we "DID INDEED" need the info & thus subpoenas were sent out to all of the companies. Which only delayed my hearings even further. I better not see a bill for, since it was her error, Not mine! In January 2024 a temporary court order was put into place. After 21 days of the order not being complied w/by the respondent, I requested Ms. Laundis to file contempt charges. Arrangement was set for early June. Only to find out that the respondent hired an attorney last minute. (as I predicted he would to Ms Laundis) Knowing that his arraignment would be extended. Court was to be set sometime in July, as his attorney could catch up on the case. But because she would be gone for a 5 week vacation abroad, my hearing date would be extended another 2 1/2 months. Now that the hearing is here, she demanded more money & had her office personnel advise me that if I don't pay, she will not represent me at the hearing. I sent her an email asking to pls help me make a proposal to the respondent. As I just want this divorce over. I made her an offer that would provide her funds. She wrote “payment arrangements will not be acceptable" I made it very known when she accepted the case "that the respondent was to pay for my attorney fees." She NEVER filed that paperwork. A family member left a 1 star review, stating she was just after people's money & not doing her job. She saw the post & called me up to let me know she would not complete my case due to the third party review. But she'll take their money!

Keep Looking

Sorry. Just Being Honest. This lawyer was irresponsible in most every way possible. She was sued by another lawyer for failing to perform her job. According to the State Bar, she was irresponsible - albeit not criminally irresponsible ( in which case, she would have been disbarred). She did no...t pay us (her former client), as per the written agreement. She has a poor reputation among other lawyers (I do challenge anyone to prove this to be incorrect) for late filing; never meeting with clients and even turning on her own clients. Please check her reviews (on other websites) before making a final decision. Do your research and make an informed decision, as this lawyer tends to prey on people in desperate situations.

Did No Know What She was Doing

June 2019, I was with my family on vacation, when we received the worst news of our life (1) We needed to go to court for an unknown reason; (2) our lawyer backed out of a case that we thought had been settled; (3) We found out that she refused to tell us about a settlement, (4) leaving us with thous...ands of dollars in court costs. Why? Our neighbor was embarrassed at City Hall after we had successfully ended a dog noise complaint - so he kept filing complaints. Lauren turned our Cease and Desist into a SLAPP motion, which removes a person's right to the 5th Amendment. In 9 months of being our lawyer, she refused to meet face-to-face and only "spoke" through her very rude and angry assistant. In court, she did not know who I was until we stood next to each other before the judge. She immediately dismissed herself (in court) and walked out, leaving me standing in front of the opposing lawyer and judge - wondering, "What just happened?" Had it not been for the mercy of another lawyer with a strong sense of right and wrong, my family would have gone bankrupt . . . over a dog complaint gone wrong. In the end, we learned that (1) court is no joke, (2) to settle out-of-court whenever possible (3) lawyers are as ruthless as they say and (4) finding a trustworthy one is very rare. Lauren is no exception. She tends to be laissez-faire with her clients, irresponsible and very (VERY) spiteful. BTW: I have neither been hired by any law firm, nor am I making any money whatsoever by writing this review. I only state this so that other, innocent people may avoid being caught in the same situation and treated like criminals, as we were. I

Outstanding Attorney

I recently retained Lauren Laundis for a Temporary Restraining order. Within the order were allegations of domestic violence that jeopardized my employment and child custody. Lauren was able to have the restraining order denied/dismissed during the evidentiary hearing. Lauren’s response time and abil...ity to communicate with me throughout this process was incredible. I highly recommend Lauren for her services. Thank you again Ms. Laundis

Wasted a lot of my time

I first was contacted by Attorney Lauren Laundis when I found her on AVVO and she responded. We set up an initial intake through her assistant. This was done over the phone since I live two hours away from this law office. I wanted an attorney whom was in the jurisdiction where the offense occurred. ...I explained my case in detail to Lauren and answered her questions completely and honestly. Although I told her I could pay a contingency fee, she said she'd accept my case for a percentage of the outcome. This is where the problems started. Lauren told me her assistant would get in touch with me about the next steps. I waited several weeks and finally emailed asking what to do next. A lot of back and forth emails and many more weeks passed. Finally, I asked to be sent a contract. This is when I was told by the assistant that Ms Laundis thought my landlord/tenant dispute had a statute of limitations ending in the Fall, not the Spring, as it was. How she could have made this mistake makes no sense, since I gave her proper dates and emailed her the lease with very clear dates. Her assistant said she would only represent the personal injury part of my case, since the other statute was about to expire. This attorney cost me this part of my lawsuit because she didn't file on time, having months to do so. Then she emailed me a Docusign contract to represent me. I signed it right away and sent it the back the same day. Again, months went by and many ignored emails from the office and all ignored by the attorney. Finally, after I pressured them, the assistant told me I HAD to go to their office and bring the documents pertaining to my case. This meant a good four hours of driving for me. This was never asked of me before and I had already emailed the documents to the office. If I didn't make the drive I could "find an attorney closer to your (my) area". I had already invested much time in relaying info, etc and many months on this attorney, so I made the drive and brought her the documents. The attorney was not expecting me as her assistant supposedly forgot to tell her about my appointment but the attorney met with me anyway when she eventually got back to her office. We discussed the case again, I gave her the documents again. There was nothing at all that was new and this meeting was completely unnecessary. Again, i waited for the attorney to file my case and get things moving. More pressure from me and more of the office and the attorney ignoring me. We are literally at six months past my initial phone consultation and I'm still waiting for my case to be filed. Absurd. I didn't want to find another attorney because of what I've already invested in this one. I couldn't understand why she was handling as she did. So, her assistant got back to me eventually and said "Ms Laundis is reviewing her notes and the documents. She believes she only offered to file the case and never agreed to represent you". What!?!? I was stunned at this. If she didn't want the case, why didn't she just say so? It seemed she was trying to get me to just give up and find someone else. I don't know why she handled things this way. When the attorney did get back to me many days later, she said she never agreed to represent me. A flat out LIE. There's no way she could be confused. She cost me my landlord/tenant case by letting the statute run out, wasted six months of my time and needlessly made me make that four hour drive. Then I looked back at my online Docusign contract and it had a giant VOID across it! I have no idea when she voided it and she never told me and still hasn't acknowledged it, even though I emailed it to her and specifically asked. I told the attorney I was going to contact the State Bar and post true reviews of my experience with her. So, she responded immediately finally confessing she thought it wouldn't be "financially worth my office to represent you" Why wouldn't this attorney have said this from day one?
