Biography
My law practice focuses on health care and public law. I am general counsel to several governmental entities, advising them on a broad range of issues related to their operations such as the Brown Act, conflicts of interest and the Public Records Act. As general counsel, I attend board meetings and render legal advice in open and closed session.
As general counsel to two public hospitals, I advise and assist them concerning recruitment agreements, stipend agreements, on-call agreements and medical director agreements. I also provide general advice regarding compliance with Stark and anti-kickback laws and many other laws applicable to hospitals.
In addition, I represent medical groups in several practice areas preparing employment agreements, agreements with hospitals and other general business transactions.
As a primary resource for my clients, I identify matters requiring the attention of litigation, labor and regulatory attorneys and interact with them to assure that the client's interests are satisfactorily represented.
