I contacted Ms. Mathias through Avvo for help starting a business. She responded with an offer of a free 30-minute phone consultation the next day during one of two appointment times. In her message, she also provided her direct email address and requested the best number to reach me at. Five minu...tes later, I responded through Avvo with my choice of appointment times and provided my phone number, but I did not hear back from Ms. Mathias with any confirmation. A few hours later (in early afternoon), I emailed her directly to provide my phone number again and to ask whether the time I had chosen would still work for her. She never responded via email or Avvo, and she never called me for the consultation. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt - perhaps something urgent came up? - but this was over a week ago, and she made no apparent attempt to reach me.
